Welders may have been the cause of a fire that broke out 5 stories high in the Cars Land construction area around 3pm today.
A tarp in the “Cadillac Range” area of Cars Land, caught fire but was extinguished a short time later by the Anaheim and Disneyland Fire Departments.

Construction workers were temporarily evacuated from the area, but the incident did not cause any interruptions to park operations or effect guests at either theme park. The extent of the damage is currently unknown.
Cars Land, currently under constriction, is a 12 acre expansion of Disney California Adventure Park and is currently slated to open in the Summer of 2012.
