John Lasseter, the principal creative advisor for Walt Disney Imagineering, and chief creative officer at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation, will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Lasseter’s star will be located in front of the Disney owned El Captain Theater on Hollywood Blvd and will be unveiled in a ceremony on November 1st.
John Lasseter is best known for his role at Pixar and the full length digital animation films he has helped to produce. Lasetter is also instrumental in the development of Cars Land. An entire land based on the 2006 movie, which is expected to open in the summer of 2012 at Disney California Adventure Park.
Lasseter was also a Jungle Cruise skipper in the 1970′s at Disneyland and recently announced a contest to help locate a picture of himself in that role. (link)

2,453rd star in the category of motion pictures on the Walk of Fame. Actress Bonnie Hunt, who provided the voice of Sally in the movie Cars, will be a guest speaker at the ceremony.
The star will be unveiled on November 1st at 11:30am at 6834 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the El Capitan Theatre.
