Disneyland is “pulling the plug” on ElecTRONica on April 15, 2012. ElecTRONica, a nightly dance party at Disney California Adventure park, started in the Fall of 2010 as a way to plug the motion picture TRON: Legacy, and also serve as a replacement for the popular Glow Fest. ElecTRONica proved to be an even larger hit than its predecessor and was subsequently extended several times. This past January, Disney announced the replacement for ElecTRONica, a psychedelic soiree based on Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland; The Mad T Party will debut sometime this “spring”.

Disney is sending ElecTRONica off with a “Tron-A-Thon” dance competition, starting this Monday & Tuesday nights, March 19th and 20th. Guests will be able to see some of their favorite dance groups from past appearances and vote for their favorites via text messaging. The winners will be announced on Disneyland’s official Twitter account.
