Buena Vista Street Construction Update
Along with Cars Land, Buena Vista Street and the Carthay Circle Theatre will also open on June 15th!

Second Time Capsule Added To The Disneyland Resort
This past weekend Disney added a second time capsule to the resort. The new time capsule was buried on Saturday beneath Buena Vista Plaza, the heart of Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure park! Buena Vista Street is the new entry ‘land’ to California Adventure. Currently under construction, and set to open this summer (2012), Buena Vista Street is themed after 1930′s Los Angeles, the time period when a young Walt Disney first arrived in California to begin his career as an animator. Buena Vista Street will feature time specific shops, architecture and a street car trolley system fashioned after Pacific Electric Railway. The Red Car Trolley will take guests from the entrance of California Adventure down Buena Vista Street and through Hollywoodland to the Hollywood Tower of Terror, making four stops along the way.

Earlier this week Disney made the announcement that Disney California Adventure park will relaunch on June 15, 2012! Buena Vista Street, Cars Land and the Carthay Circle Theatre, all currently under construction, will also open on that day. Read more on the announcement.
When Disney made the announcement, they also released a promotional video showing off two of the most highly anticipated attractions set to open in each of the two ‘lands’ this summer. Radiator Spring Racers is said to be a “mega E-Ticket” attraction in Cars Land and the Red Car Trolley, a street car system for Buena Vista Street fashioned after the real Pacific Electric Railroad of the early 20th century. The new version of the Monorail Bridge, modeled after the famous Glendale-Hyperion Bridge, is starting to take shape.
