Photo of the Week: Fantasyland Skyline

Fantasyland Skyline

Aperture ƒ/ 16 | ISO 100 | 75 mm | 1/13 Exposure

This is one of those photos that happens spontaneously. I had just finished taking the “Rainy Day Sword” photo when I looked to my left. I still had my 75-300mm zoom lens on my camera and I tried to compose the shot with both the newly re-painted Matterhorn and the Peter Pan’s Flight clock tower flanking each side of the frame. The 75mm focal length actually proved to be a bit of a challenge, (I use a crop sensor camera, so it acts like 112mm) and I had to back up all the way into the exit for Snow White’s Scary Adventure to fit those elements into the shot.

The backdrop is a dark rainy sky, and the cloud cover created a soft light effect in the shot.
