A few days ago we learned that Disney will be updating the Blue Sky Cellar to show the origins of Radiator Springs, the town from the Disney / Pixar movie Cars and the town for which Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park is built to represent. It now appears that Disney has created a cartoon short called “Time Travel Mater” in which Mater will do some time traveling to fill us in on the town’s history. ”Time Travel Mater” will premiere on ABC during a showing of the movie Cars on June 16 from 8-11 p.m./7-10 p.m. central. During the broadcast, viewers will also be treated to a special tour of Cars Land by Larry the Cable Guy, the voice of Mater. ”Time Travel Mater” will also play in the updated Blue Sky Cellar at Disney California Adventure park starting June 15, 2012.
