Here are some quick-hit notes that we hope you’ll find helpful as you prepare your visits for the week:
- Southern California Annual Passports are now blocked out through August 19.
- Full blockouts on Saturday.
- Disneyland (park) is a 9.1 on Monday.
- Due to its incredibly low capacity, consider riding Luigi’s Flying Tires standby right after starting your day by grabbing a FASTPASS for Radiator Springs Racers.

Do more. Wait less.
Disneyland Flag Retreat
This past week was a great one to be at the Disneyland Resort. The weather was hot, the crowds were plentiful and you could totally shut yourself out from the outside world…well almost.
If you look close you’ll notice the flag is at half staff

In response to the President’s order, Disney lowered the Disneyland park flags out of respect for those effected by the Aurora mass shooting

Retiring the Colors in Disneyland’s Flag Retreat Ceremony
From: DisneylandLive
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]oday was a difficult day for our country. Senseless violence on innocent people dominated the news and was in the minds of Americans once again. It’s tough to find peace when violence of such magnitude unfolds and each person has their own way of finding it. Today I spent a little more time thinking about our great nation and the Americans that inhabit this land. I also made sure to visit the Disneyland Flag Retreat ceremony this afternoon in Main Street’s Town Square. It is a time honored tradition and a great show of appreciation to our county and service men and women. In this particular flag retreat ceremony the flag is at half staff in respect for the victims of the Aurora, Colorado mass shooting.

Jiggs Whigham and the 2012 Disneyland All-American College Band
Jazz Legend Jigg Whigham showed up once again this year to direct and play along with the 2012 Disneyland All-American College Band.

This video is only a montage of the tunes played that day and it really shows off just how amazing this year’s band is!
And speaking of great bands, the Ellis Island Band preformed throughout the day on Friday on the Paradise Garden Bandstand
