Today was a difficult day for our country. Senseless violence on innocent people dominated the news and was in the minds of Americans once again. It’s tough to find peace when violence of such magnitude unfolds and each person has their own way of finding it. Today I spent a little more time thinking about our great nation and the Americans that inhabit this land. I also made sure to visit the Disneyland Flag Retreat ceremony this afternoon in Main Street’s Town Square. It is a time honored tradition and a great show of appreciation to our county and service men and women.
In this particular flag retreat ceremony the flag is at half staff in respect for the victims of the Aurora, Colorado mass shooting.
