Princess Fantasy Faire on the Move & A New Show is Coming to Fantasyland
A New Stage Show Coming to Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theater
From: DisneylandLive
A new stage show is in development for the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland park. Currently home to the Princess Fantasy Faire, Disney announced Thursday that a new show is in development which will bring a new live entertainment spectacular back to Fantasyland. The Princess’ moved into the Fantasyland Theater in 2006, creating the Princess Fantasy Faire, a very popular meet and greet and merchandise location where guests are able to meet their favorite princess and purchase apparel. The last stage show the Fantasyland Theater hosted was “Snow White: An Enchanting Musical” which ended in September of 2006. The stage area still has most of the set pieces still in place.
The Princess Fantasy Faire will soon be relocated to the “it’s a small world mall” until their permanent home where the Carnation Plaza Gardens use to sit is completed next year.
The temporary princess meet and greet will open August 13, 2012 following the closure of the current venue the day before.
Most of the Brave Meet and Greet interactive portion has already been removed.
Although the main Meet and Greet and coloring section should remain.
A Walk Through Innoventions
It has been quite a long time since I stepped foot into the rotating building of Tomorrowland, so let’s take a quick tour of Innoventions.
Posters showcasing Brave and Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie greet guests upon entry; I was just happy to find air conditioning.
Something that I did enjoy, besides the air conditioning, was the live streaming of the 2012 London Olympics on this laptop!
Princess Fantasy Faire Construction
Disney is making progress, although very slowly, on the permanent home for the Princess Fantasy Faire and shared some photos of the WDI (Walt Disney Imagineering) concept model this past week.
Here is how the area currently appears.
