The Current Status of the DisneylandLive Blog

Most of you have noticed a few changes – and a sudden lack of content – here on the DisneylandLive blog over the past few weeks, and quite a few readers have sent me emails asking questions about them. I figured that this would be the best way to communicate with everyone.

Are you still doing Photo Reports?

Many of you have noticed a but of a hiccup in the publication schedule of our most popular column, the Disneyland Weekly Photo & News Reports. These have been the go-to articles for many of the blog’s readers for the week’s news, photographs and the upcoming Touring Plans crowd predictions. I’m happy to say that this column isn’t going anywhere. The photo reports are my passion and I love presenting you with great photos from the Disneyland Resort each week.  I expect to resume the weekly photo trips into the Disneyland Resort the first week of November – just in time for the Holidays!

Some of you with a really keen eye have noticed some activity of mine on a fellow Disney site, MousePlanet.com. Starting last Monday, I became the full time columnist for their weekly Disneyland article. Writing for MousePlanet is very different than writing a personal blog and I am really enjoying challenge.

What’s up with the Twitter & Facebook changes?

I got a lot of email and Twitter questions about this one and the answer is simple. I wanted to make it even more clear to our readers that this is an unofficial web blog and likewise so were the social networks attached to them. For those who have yet to notice, you can now find us on Twitter at @DLandNewsLive and on Facebook at http://facebook.com/dlandlive. There is no need to re-follow or like again, if you were a part of these networks before, you were brought over in the change.

Breaking News Updates

For the past month I have been using a new format to get breaking news and live photos from the Disneyland Resort out to you quickly.  You’ve probably already seen it at http://breakingnews.dlandlive.com.  It seems to be working great and has been well received.  If you are on Tumblr you can follow this breaking news feed there as well.

Just as a reminder, we have corners all over the web and here is where you can find us:

| Twitter | Facebook | Google + | Tumblr | YouTube  | FlickrBlog | Breaking News Feed |

As we close out 2012 and enter 2013 DisneylandLive will be entering its fourth year!  I look forward to new opportunities and to share some of the new projects that I have in development with you.

~Bryan
