Golden Horseshoe Revue Returning for Limited Time Magic at Disneyland

Disney made the first in what will be a year long set of announcements and events for both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World this morning. The 2013 Disney Parks promotion, titled “Limited Time Magic”, consists of special limited time in-park events, shows and merchandise. Disney will hold 52 experiences at the parks, some of which were unveiled in October during the promotion’s initial announcement.

On Friday, Disney made a few of the Limited Time Magic announcements for the month of January.

At Disneyland:

  • A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue:For a limited time only, you and your family can experience this musical variety extravaganza inspired by the renowned Frontierland show enjoyed by Walt Disney himself! Join Miss Lily and her Saloon Girls for an homage to the classic Golden Horseshoe Revue, a fun-filled show filled with plenty of family-friendly comedy, singing and dancing.” Thurs – Monday’s from January 10 – February 4, 2013

Update (1/2/13): Disneyland has announced the addition of special tickets Annual Passholders can purchase to attend exclusive performances. The events include a meal and a “commemorative keepsake”.

The AP performances will be the 6:30 pm showings and will cost $35 per passholder. The meal includes the following,

Corn chips in a souvenir Golden Horseshoe boot mug. Black forest ham and roast beef sandwiches. Golden raisin and carrot salad, Yukon golden potato salad, Very Berry fruit salad.

Children’s Menu (available upon request): 2 PB&J sandwiches with sides.

Vegetarian Option (available upon request): Vegetable and cheese sandwiches with sides.

Beverages: Mint Julep, water, coffee
Dessert: Walt & Lilly’s 30th Anniversary Celebration Cake.

Disneyland has also set up a ticketing system for all other performances. Guests are asked to obtain a show ticket on the day of their visit for a show time later in the day. Space is limited, so guests are encouraged to obtain their tickets upon their arrival at Disneyland.

  • Three Kings Celebration: “Celebrate the end of the holiday season with three days of music, activities and cuisine that pays tribute to Southern California’s Mexican culture.” This is the second year Disney has held a Three Kings Day Celebration. The event is being labeled as part of “Limited Time Magic”, however is not unique to the event. January 4 – January 6, 2013.

At Walt Disney World:

  • “Bling in the New Year”: A week-long New Year’s Eve dance party celebration held in Tomorrowland. Live entertainment, and a New Year’s countdown each hour. December 30, 2012 – January 5, 2013.

Disney also announced that 2013 will be the “Year of the Ear” at both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom Park in Florida. Each month a new, and unique, Mickey Mouse ear hat will be released for purchase in the parks. January 2013 will feature Disney Couture Ear Hats.
