Disneyland has formally announced the new stage show coming to the Fantasyland Theater this summer, “Mickey and the Magical Map”
Here is Disney’s official description of the new stage show:
The wise sorcerer Yen Sid tells of a
wondrous map – one unlike any other – with the power to take dreamers to any place imaginable. But when young apprentice Mickey Mouse attempts to paint the map’s one unfinished spot, he stumbles into a fantastic adventure through worlds of music, color and beloved characters, as he discovers the mystery of the map’s magic!
Mickey and the Magical Map will entertain guests in the Fantasyland Theater. The space was recently used to house the Princess Fantasy Farie, a princess meet-and-greet. Disneyland moved the princess out last Fall to begin the process in transforming the space back into a stage show venue.
The princesses are currently located at the “Royal Princess Walk” along the “it’s a small world” mall. They will eventually be moved into the new Fantasy Faire, currently under construction where the Carnation Plaza Gardens once stood.
Mickey and the Magical Map will open at Disneyland in the summer of 2013.
