FTC MANDATED DISCLOSURE (of 10/5/09) link
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) mandates that I tell you the obvious.
- Disneyland, Walt Disney Company, or any other company written about on Disneyland News Live, mobile web site, or the Town Square Forums does not compensate the owners or writers in any way.
- The writers/ bloggers/ twitter’ers/ facebook’ers for DisneylandLive pay for their own admission to the Disney Parks. Except on the rare occasion that we are invited into the parks for media events, however these events are not for our “amusement” and the bloggers are escorted in and out. We don’t stick around and ride attractions see shows or take pictures with Goofy.
- Travel & the occasional hotel stay is also paid for out of our own pockets.
So in order to be compliant with the FTC’s stupidity, I must tell you that DisneylandLive occasionally makes a bit of revenue from advertisements and even more rarely we may receive a “gift” or food/ drink from a Disney Press Event. This is Disney being a good host, and wanting to keep the “media”/ “bloggers” happy. Of course we are not “influenced” by Disney by any of these disclosed items which may be/ rarely/ if ever received. We’re too busy being “influenced” by Disney marketing and advertisement (but hey so are you!)
(I want a refund on these tax dollars)
